Brief: 1 A3 poster illustration based on the trailblazer of importance in women's football Alexia Putellas.
In July 2023 "FIFA Women's World Cup will take place in Australia and New Zealand. To celebrate we reached out to 30+ established and emerging talent across the globe to create amazing artwork for the exibition. Each artist was designated a trailblazer of importance in women's football, both past and present, and was asked to submit their interpretation of the person's story throgh their artwork". All profits raised will be donated to @footballbeyondborders to help them raise £100.000, ensuring a generation of teenage girls isn't left behind.
ALEXIA PUTELLAS
Alexia Putellas is a Spanish footballer, who has achieved remarkable success with Barcelona and Spain, winning the UEFA Champions League, La Liga F, Copa de la Reina, and the Spanish Supercopa. She has won two Ballon D'Ors, multiple Player of the Year awards, and two FIFA Best Awards. Recently she was the first woman to score in a competitive match at Camp Nou.
